Facelift.

When the producer gets bored. Inkbeard post #15

Purple

Is a color. After I had finished the last post, I decided I was bored with the sophisticated design of my website, so I performed a little in-house website surgery. This included changing the theme from black and ochre to black and neo-purple. I also want to change the Home Screen, and either alter ore remove that poem which makes it’s home there; perhaps add a recent post block. I am enjoying the bursts of color to the albeit classy grays and golds. This week I did manage to work on a few pages of the comic, as well as running a successful D&D session.

This week’s art was a drawing for Inktober52, the year-long weekly version of Inktober. The prompt this week was “shrimp”, so I drew one. It was a nice return to the old pen and paper. Of course, I didn’t use analogue meteors to color, because what fun is that? So I scanned the picture into Procreate and dabbed it up with color. The original is in warm hues of vibrant yellows, oranges, red, and a hint of hot pink. Then I opened the gradient maps and curves, to mess with the hues and values. Pro tip: when coloring anything, always double check with the curves and colors to see if there are any better options out there. That’s how I went from royal blue to gray blue-green for the uniformed characters on the homepage.

Stupid Things.

Why is Stardew Valley somehow a hit game? My brother said to put that in here. We sit together in my room, on the bed, making dumb cracks and bonding. The idea to create a talk podcast had been brought up, and it’s something we both agree should be a thing. Writing songs, talking about things brothers talk about, making jokes, having on friends and calling them guests, who wouldn’t want to give it a listen? Also, it would be a way to plug the blog.

You Say Goodbye.

Thus we come to the time when the body needs sleep, meaning if I don’t wrap things up and soon I will fall asleep with my nose pressing the g buttogggggggggggggggggggggggggggggand I woke up again. Ahem. Thank you so much, dear readers, for reading this and hopefully deciding you want to read the next one. Come back next week for more art. Farewell.
